Concrete Floor Leveling

Sloped, dipped or uneven floor? We pour self-leveling underlayment to create a dead-flat, sound surface — ready for tile, vinyl plank, polish or coatings.

The problem

Get it flat before you finish it

Almost every flooring problem starts with an uneven slab. Tile lippage, vinyl plank that flexes and clicks, polished floors with visible low spots — they all trace back to a surface that wasn’t flat to begin with. Self-leveling underlayment fixes it: a flowable, fast-setting topping that finds its own level and cures into a smooth, hard, bondable surface.

Designer Concrete levels floors across Metro Vancouver — feathering out dips, correcting slopes, and building up low areas before your new floor goes down. Whether you’re heading toward tile, luxury vinyl, polished concrete or a coating, we hand you a flat slab that makes the finish look right.

The solution

Three steps to a dead-flat floor

Self-leveling underlayment is a calm, predictable process. Here’s exactly how we get from a wavy slab to a finish-ready surface.

  1. 01

    Assess & prep the slab

We check flatness, moisture and bond. Old coatings come off, the slab is shot-blasted or ground, cracks and joints repaired, then primed so nothing debonds later.

  2. 02

    Pour self-leveler

A flowable, fast-setting underlayment is poured and spread. It finds its own level — filling dips, correcting slope and building low areas into one dead-flat plane.

  3. 03

    Cure flat, ready to finish

Walk-on in hours. The cured surface is smooth, hard and bondable — handed off flat for tile, luxury vinyl, polish or coatings.

Metro Vancouver floor leveling FAQs

How uneven can a floor be and still get leveled?

From a few millimetres of lippage up to significant slopes — we feather thin and build up thick as the job needs.

How soon can I floor over it?

Most self-levelers are walk-on in 2–4 hours and ready for flooring the same or next day.

Will it bond to my old slab?

Yes — we shot-blast or grind and prime first, which is the step that keeps it bonded for good.

Can you level before polished concrete?

We can — though for a true polished look we’ll discuss whether to polish the slab or a suitable topping.
